Renewable Energy Grants and Incentives
Green Assess are part of a network of renewable energy surveyors that offer advice and services, on a national scale, to homeowners, tenants and businesses to help fight against climate change.
To achieve its targets of reducing the UKs carbon emissions by 34% before 2020 and 80% by 2050, the government has introduced renewable energy grants and incentives, which are available to many homeowners and tenants across the UK.
Through our network of renewable energy experts, we are able to offer the following reports throughout the UK;

Ground Source & Air Source Heat Pumps
Heat pumps are a renewable energy source that can provide space and water heating in your home or business as well as help to reduce your carbon footprint.
By circulating a water and anti-freeze mixture, heat from the ground or air is absorbed into the mixture. This heat is then compressed and concentrated into a higher temperature which is capable of heating water or the space within your home

Solar Power
Solar Photo Voltaic (PV) is a renewable energy source which can provide power to appliances and lighting within your home or business by capturing the suns energy.
Usually attached to your roof, Solar PV panels capture the suns energy and produce electricity when light shines onto them. Contrary to popular belief solar panels do not require direct sunlight and can even produce electricity on an overcast day.

Wind Power
Wind turbines are a renewable energy source which can provide power to appliances and lighting within your home or business by using the winds energy either directly or via storage batteries.
Around 40% of Europe's wind energy blows across the UK and so Wind Turbines are a great renewable energy source for lowering your energy spend and well as reducing your carbon footprint.
Some wind turbines may require planning permission and not all areas are suitable. Speak to us today for some further advice

Biomass
Biomass Stoves are considered to be a carbon neutral, renewable energy source. This is due to the fact that during its lifetime, the biomass fuel, will have absorbed the same amount of CO2 that is released when burnt.
Biomass Stoves and Biomass Boilers can be used to heat both water and space within your home or business. These renewable energy sources can not only reduce your energy bills but also help to reduce your carbon emissions.

Insulation grants - cavity wall & loft insulation surveys
Getting loft and cavity wall insulation installed can reduce the energy your home loses by as much as 60%! So not only will you be helping the environment by reducing your CO2 emissions, you could also save up to £265 per year.
Because the government and energy companies want to reduce the CO2 emissions that we produce, they have pledged £1bn in insulation grants to help people get their homes insulated. Everybody gets at least 50% off (no matter how much you earn) and those over 70 or in receipt of certain benefits can get loft insulation installed for free.

Renewable energy audits
If you’re thinking about investing in renewable energy technology and need some independent advice, Green Assess can help. We offer advice on all types of renewable energy sources; including the requirements and practicalities of installation.
Government grants are available for certain types of renewable energy technologies. Our qualified advisers can recommend the types of renewable technologies that would be most suitable for your style and size of property, and also advise on estimated repayment periods and any potential grants.
Green Assess advisers are independent, which means that we’ll advise on the best solution for you, unlike advisers acting on behalf of renewable energy manufacturers who will only recommend their own company’s products.
