Regular inspections of air conditioning systems are now required by law, with air conditioning inspections being conducted at intervals not exceeding 5 years.
Before 4th January 2011 all air conditioning systems over 12kW must legally have had their first air conditioning inspection. This accounts for the majority of air conditioning systems currently in use in the UK.
Only a very small proportion of businesses and homes with air con systems over 12kW currently hold an inspection report meaning that many homeowners and businesses are currently not fulfilling their legal obligation.
